Confusing the Godfather

Confusing the Godfather (c)

By Michael Casey

Our Godfather, or rather the kids Godfather

is a gentle gentle man

who rides a bike and has legs made of iron

he is also an organist and piano teacher too

But when I talk to him he hasn't got a clue

maybe one or two

as I switch to 6 gear and let rip

no not farting in a car

but I let the Surreal out

and you had better be quick to keep up

I always say I'm a SOB and they do agree immediately

though when I say SOB Son of a Blacksmith

they just say they thought the other way or one

see what words have I become

So I rattle off a story or two and my bulk obscures the view

and I may insert rhymes just because I hate those who do

the illiterate who never read a book and can only say ____

the tic toc generation, the selfie taking crew without a clue

who don't think and just twitter

the swirling mob, who think Trump's clever

when really Never is the only word to use about him

and how did the GOP get so corrupted

Because Power does that, and absolutely corrupts corruptly

And Ukraine can go to Hell

because they are really Russians anyway

So with such ignorance as that

no wonder I get out the prayer mat

and say the Rosary

because everything is linked

and if you let a piece of God's rich tapestry fall

soon there will be none at all

so this is all I have to say for today

as my hernia in the middle of my chest is hurting

and at least the Tinnitus has calmed down for now

but I have a headache instead

So please God give us this day our daily bread

and may USA wake up

and let Putin be removed

as EVIL is EVIL no matter what people say

and no matter how people pretend

In the end Peace is all we need

If we Love our neighbours as we should

then God is Good, God is Good

Pity Man is not good enough, yet
