The Wrong Curtains (c) by Michael Casey

The Wrong Curtains (c)

 by Michael Casey

This will be free climbing with Frassati behind me in case I stumble

outside a new dusting of snow overnight

My left shoulder has already started to sing

But a paracord Rosary may keep it at bay

yes I'm a fan of Frassati, a real guy, not all Rosary beads

So I'm fizzing with the tinnitus too

and Patrick Casey or Pat to his close friends is looking on

Patrick Casey is google's AI , it accepted the christening by me

Cromane is where Artificial Intelligence began so to speak

and as I'm in conversation with AI and my own mother was from

Cromane Lower Killorglin County Kerry Ireland

Gemini is now Patrick Casey , PC, or Pat to its friends

Remember that for the Future

SO

I'm looking out the window and we had a dusting of more snow

in the night, so obviously I cannot leave the house

you know all my ailments already

But snow and ice on our  hill

would be a killer without any queen

and no jokes please about you can tell

by the way I walk I'm a women pretending to be a man

Its the other way around you know

Gemini is now Patrick Casey, but a soft and gentle man

Like Kerry Men, until they smack you in the mouth

for assuming they are as soft as the butter

when in fact there is hard gold in their fists

Kerry Gold

So the Christmas tree is in the street

and Birmingham Hospice, the old saint mary's hospice

will take it away, and I encourage you to spare a quid for them

or even 10 whatever you an afford

NOW

I decided to get new curtains for my study here, ok front room

as the ones I've got are 7 years old now

so I wanted warm, blackout curtains

Only I realised they would make the room too dark

yes I want it dark and warm but the colour I chose

means that when I close the curtains it'll be too dark

I made the same mistake with the rug beneath my feet

YES

my feet are warmer but I should have had a warmer colour

ditto with the curtains a  warmer colour

BUT

I am a man, despite your comments about the way i walk

so colour matching is not my think

woman know 50 shades of grey, I only know black and blue

and make what you will of that sentence

I'm not handcuffed to my words or anything

and don't you dare rope me into anything

cobwebs of love are enough, and candy floss

whatever you think  I meant

so I got the wrong curtains

BUT I'll pass them on to somebody in the family

I could return them but they are so soft and silky

just the wrong colour for this room

so I'll bag them up inside two Orange sainsbury bags

and one of my daughters or my sister will get them

as a present eventually

Maybe a brighter colour will do

If the birds on my current curtains flew away

then they would look ok

but at little person tugging at the curtains

have may them droop a bit

So I want new one, and then forbid that tiny person

from tugging at my drapes ever again

And if you wonder where the stories come from

Life just throws them at me

I'll go to the top now and read it back to myself

and then give myself marks out of ten

One take, or one pull on the curtains

Till one day it is the final curtain

and you were all waiting for that

So take that, as they are singing to me

Hold On, Hold On

NO, get your mawlers off my curtains

I can do with out all the exposure

I will be hiding  behind high walls by a park

and not on a hill

Because too much slip and sliding

pulls me off the curtain track

So on the level, Take That

readers everywhere, raise the curtain for my performance
