Now before i begin, the match girls and so do I are going on strike

So back to the idea
I woke up suddenly the hot air in the bedroom had dissapated
no not my farts
the central heating
and cold must have annoyed my tinnitus ears
So because of the date a memory came back to me
When my sister was born my dad left me alone in the house
in front of a fire with a fireguard and the fire blazing
while he went to fetch little sister, child no 6 in the family
Where's michael mum asked, i was safe and sound by the fire
while dad went to Dudley Rd hospital
Now the parental bedroom changed over the years
we had a small back bedroom, a middle room bigger
the a very large front bedroom, big enough for 4 single beds
the middle bedroom has a History
In this room my brother the tall one was born
I was born in this room too
the eldest brother who went to Oxford has this room too
I shared a double bed with him as he read a book
commanding me to go to sleep while the light was on
later her painted everything in that room white
the skirting board, the chest of drawers, the warddrobe
the bed frame too and the doors
Imagine, this was 1971 maybe
so the room has history
the tall brother and me also shared a bed
and a large bush radio that changed my life
we put in the middle of us on the pillows
and listened to The World Tonight, douglas stuart reporting
and then the book at bedtime
I remember I fell asleep and missed the ghost and mrs muir
years later
my mother died in marriage bed in that room
and 8 weeks later my father nearly died in the same bed
but he managed to get half way out of bed and bang the wall
my brother the tall one, came running and laid him down flat
and saved him
all in that room
