Gun Boat Diplomacy

Gun Boat Diplomacy

I remember the 1870 stuff from History books

Gun Boat Diplomacy and all that

IT works

but leaves a bad taste in the mouth

And in today’s world more enemies

BUT who reads History, nobody

Bully is the word for Trump

and DRUGS is an American addiction

As for me my back is still hurting like hell

and Donald Trump’s lumbering gait is better than my Grouch Marx pained walk

The stock market can still crash even more

IT is totally over valued

and Chatboxes are even looking at my stuff

3,000,000 words are a good target to steal from

BUT all you world wide publishers

Time to send some money my way

so I can pass it to my daughters

My guess is 10 more years of me

Though on some nights of pain and Tinnitus

I’d be happy to meet the undertaker

yes the pain and noise is worse than that

Hence my Rosary

and Pray all of you that Trump does not stab Ukraine in the back

AS TYRANNY should never be allowed to win

And squeeze Russia like Mexico and they will soon leave

Putin’s Russia is the Problem, so fix that Trump

Or lose all the Rare Earth Minerals to Putin

Ukraine is clever and full of raw materials

So Trump should lose his IGNORANCE

This should be over a million words, enjoy everyone

Did you miss me?

 Did you miss me?

my back back recovered after a month, yes a month

THEN

yesterday, was it

I did a commando roll, ok a hippo plop

off the sofa and twinged my back all over again

I SCREAMED AND CURSED

I can CURSE, don't think I don't know how to

and had a night of agony, I could not even go upstairs to bed

HORROR story

But in the morning Shanghai Grannie went back to Shanghai

while I was in my agony on the sofa in my study

irony

so DEEP HEAT

a pain killer, that stinks

but works, eventually

so image, me smelling of pain killer that makes your eyes water

and that is me

I need a shave too, but not as bad as before

I prefer clean shaven,

so that's me PAIN story

I'm in so much pain again, and so will you all

as I write more

Yes

Trump is INSANE

PUTTING PRICES UP

and probably crashing  the Stock Market

What did WSJ say today

DUMB DUMB DUMB

This is why he'll be impeached again

3rd time UNLUCKY

and if folks lose enough money

JD VANCE president

just in time for Easter

we've already had the Penance

And the Lame excuse, I want to spend more

Trump blames others but Washington air crash comes amid upheaval in US aviation

More flights, staffing shortages and mounting safety questions may have played a role in deadly air collision

As information trickles in regarding what caused a plane and a helicopter to collide in Washington DC, all eyes are on air traffic rules and regulations. An investigation of the crash is under way, but few are waiting for its results to jump to their lines of attack.

Aviation security and the air traffic control industry have been subject to partisan wrangling for years, and the American Airlines jet crash, which left no survivors, comes amid much upheaval in the aviation world. On Thursday, Donald Trump blamed diversity in the ranks of air traffic controllers and jumped quickly to criticizing his predecessors for lapses in aviation security.

The crash also comes as Trump’s new administration is cleaning out the facets of government it disagrees with – including freezing hiring and requiring in-person work arrangements.

At a press conference on Thursday morning, Trump said “we have very strong opinions and ideas” about how the accident happened, then took political swipes at Barack Obama and Joe Biden over air traffic controller standards.

He complained about diversity and inclusion measures, and called the former transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg a “disaster” who has a “good line in bullshit”.

Notably, when the Trump administration came in on 20 January, it started swiftly firing federal employees, meaning the Federal Aviation Administration’s leadership is now dotted with vacancies. There is no Senate-confirmed administrator leading the agency.

Michael Whitaker, the administrator under Biden, left the agency after Elon Musk, the billionaire Trump supporter, demanded he resign, the Daily Beast reported. Trump nominated Chris Rocheleau to lead the agency in the aftermath of the crash.

Also of note: there has been a years-long shortage of air traffic controllers, which the FAA has been working to address. Alongside the shortage is an increase in near misses.

A New York Times investigation in 2023 found “potentially dangerous incidents are occurring far more frequently than almost anyone realizes – a sign of what many insiders describe as a safety net under mounting stress”.

The Washington DC airspace is also crowded, seeing a high volume of commercial planes and military aircraft – a cause for concern for many years. The 2024 FAA reauthorization bill added five incoming and five outgoing flights to Washington national airport each day, which Democratic senators from Maryland and Virginia warned would be a safety risk. Supporters of the bill in part wanted more direct routes to their home states.

“The very title of the ‘Direct Access to the Capital Act’ gives the game away that this bill is written to maximize the personal convenience of a comparatively small number of powerful, well-connected individuals at the expense of safety and efficiency of flights – which should be our top priority,” Congressman Don Beyer of Virginia told the Washington Post at the time.

The Trump administration’s federal hiring freeze and return-to-work mandates could have affected federal aviation employees, though it’s unclear to what extent.

The blanket hiring freeze said that “no federal civilian position that is vacant at noon on January 20 2025, may be filled, and no new position may be created”, but exempted public safety positions, which could include air traffic control.

Democratic lawmakers believe the hiring freeze applies to air traffic controllers. The ranking member of the House committee on transportation and infrastructure, Rick Larsen, issued a statement saying the freeze would contradict the 2024 FAA reauthorization bill that requires the agency to hire the maximum number of controllers.

“Hiring air traffic controllers is the No 1 safety issue according to the entire aviation industry,” Larsen said. “Instead of working to improve aviation safety and lower costs for hardworking American families, the administration is choosing to spread bogus DEI claims to justify this decision.”

Trump forced out the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) administrator, David Pekoske, as well, and gutted an aviation security advisory committee. A prior division leader at the TSA warned that the effort to end remote work would lead to attrition and a loss of knowledge at the agency.

Conservatives often blame the air traffic controller shortage on diversity measures, a line of attack so frequent that one of Trump’s executive orders specifically focused on ending the FAA’s diversity programs, part of a government-wide push against these programs in the new administration.

factsheet about the order alleged that the FAA under Biden had “specifically recruited and hired individuals with ‘severe intellectual’ disabilities, psychiatric issues, and complete paralysis over other individuals who sought to work for the FAA”.

Aviation groups have pushed back against the assertion that diversity programs make the air less safe.

Tennessee Garvey, a pilot and the chair of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, told NBC News that DEI had been inappropriately “weaponized” and blamed for safety issues without any proof.

“There’s never been any proof that DEI causes any safety issues, because it doesn’t,” he said.

to an outside observer, it feels as if Trump is a WASP

I finally got out of the house today after a month stuck inside, due to my back slipping out

I finally got out of the house today after a month stuck inside, due to my back slipping out

I had to go to Post Office, the gas bill was due

It was nice talking to the pretty girl behind the counter

maybe I'll get bangra dancing classes from her

she's the sister of my daughter's best friend

she was the girl in green doing bangra dancing

 when Commonwealth Games was here

I told her to check out michaelgcasey

on the Internet and me holding my cat

so she'll be scarred for life, or think I'm funny

I also said hello to the girl in glasses

she had her heart op 9 years ago, a valve change

so I boasted I'd done 10 years now since my quadruple heart bypass

I got a lottery too and its 15,000,000 so I'll buy a house if I win

and its a must be won, which I did not know as I've been stuck inside

and the prizes are a bit higher

So that's all my news, I do need to shave again

I was going to ask a Brazilian to do it for me

But that means something else

Mind your use of language

The 3 conditions of Trump’s peace plan

Trump’s peace proposal for the war in Ukraine includes three conditions.

The aim is to achieve a definitive peace by May 9, a symbolic date for Europe and Russia.

The first of these conditions concerns Ukraine’s membership of NATO, one of the main ones being that it renounce its aspiration to become a member of the Atlantic Treaty, an explicit Russian demand. New Card Machines Are Taking UK Businesses By Storm

The second condition is the cessation of hostilities, a clear ceasefire across the whole of Ukraine by April 20, followed by a withdrawal of troops from certain regions, to be detailed. A call between Trump and Putin is expected in February.

Finally, Russia would also benefit from the gradual lifting of sanctions, which would be phased out from the signing of the peace agreement and over the following three years. The movement of goods, money, Russians’ residences abroad, their ships, etc. would be freed.

The key date would be May 9: Europe Day and Victory Day in Russia would be the date set for the end of the war, after which Ukraine would have to suspend martial law and military mobilization.

This is letting TYRANNY WIN

Only a Moron would believe in it

TRUMP still Putin’s Poodle

as FAKE as Trump’s Bible

Have mercy on all their souls

I wrote this in Nov 1987 on a Sunday on the way to work

I remember Keith Jackson saying it was poetic as I corner him

with the snatch I’d written

The Dead and The Living (c)

                           by

                     Michael  Casey

I first saw a deceased when I was nine years old ,my father said  not

to worry as the dead are the same as the living ,  only the  laughter

has left them ,  the sparkle has gone from their eyes , the worry has

been lifted from their shoulders ,  and their voice has vanished  to

     eternity .

In  paradise the sparkle will return for it is the  twinkle  of  the

stars , the laughter will return too for it is the morning breeze and

the turning tides are their sides shaking with laughter .

I treat the deceased with the same courtesy as I give to the living,

though I find the deceased are always more polite .  My father also

had a few words to say about the living .

He said that the living are only the caretakers of the  soul  ,  yet

they think their existence is everything , that they know everything

because they experience many things with their senses .

What the living don’t acknowledge is that their time is  short  and

when I lay their bodies to rest then their souls  continue  without

them ,  without their strong ,  without their weak ,  without  their

beautiful or even ugly temporary form , to where I cannot say , only

that it is a better place .

Let the Spite begin

Let the Spite begin

Sadly the predictions were all right

Spite is the word

Trump is absurd

He is putting a target on people, and pretending it’s nothing to do with him

He should know better

America’s future is with the Judges now

They created a King, and now he is abusing his Power

So expect 2 years of anger, before Midterms

As Rome burns and Trump appoints donkeys to cabinet

As the dung mounts, and the stink fills the air

Remember this eggs smell foul if you can get them

And the choice is yours

If you bother to get out of bed

YOU GET WHAT YOU VOTE FOR

So think on that for two years

As Trump trashes the Past

and YOU have no Future
