and just as Autumn begins

the ghost of Tinnitus returns to sit on my head and shoulders

it doesn't take my dandruff away from my silver soft locks

just kicks me in the head with the noise of jet engines

ricocheting in my brain

no not that bad, but 100 times worse

so enjoy me if you see me in the street

and the waves have ebbed and the tide is low

because later i'm bent double and aged 50 years

In my head i'm 20 and always will be

but my alacrity is determined by the clarity in my head

or lack of it

I did have a few ideas for a few more new pieces

but when pain and noise is pushing my head down

you get nothing
