I've gone through 1,081,000 barrier on the Word count now.
We'e just had the Election here in UK, and nobody won. We also had the horrors in Manchester and London plus the hack on the NHS in the middle of the campaign.
Teresa may be a good Technocrat but as for campaigner she was totally wooden.
Corbyn proved to be a great on the stump man, just like Trump, through Politics far far apart.
Now 2 facts from the campaign.
Social care costs money. People are living 10 to 20 years longer than before.
Personally I think 10 years more and I'll be pushing up the daisies but I digress.
Unexpectedly Theresa announced a tax post death to pay for it without telling her own people.
Corbyn said he'd pay for all student fees and forgive those who's started to pay back.
There are 7 times as many students now than there used to be.
So this would cost 11billion or so, which is 1/4 of the entire budget.
For example if my daughter does study medicine it would save her 54,000 pounds in fees
A house such as where we live now costs say 150,000 so you can see the savings.
Put the two things together, save money or is it a bribe, you decide.
Plus save your house for the future after you die. And hope the state pays for your care.
Then you have a perfect storm and that is why Theresa may did not get her landslide.
However if you go by percentage of vote,then it matches Thatcher and Blair landslide.
But more people voted in total. Hence the result.
One more footnote our family 15 years ago paid for our dad's care for 5.5 years in a home
So is this the Greed Election, or are all elections about balancing GREED? Discuss.
