to me
For Giving Tuesday, two years ago, we introduced you to a very special project that would provide better care for patients at Padre Pio’s hospital, La Casa Sollievo della Sofferena, the Home for the Relief of Suffering.

The very people that Padre Pio built this hospital for, are now being cared for by YOU!

Over these past two years, thanks to your generosity, you have provided 140 new beds.

During our pilgrimage in Italy this September, we visited and walked through La Casa Sollievo della Sofferenza.  The president of the hospital showed us the new beds with the names of our donors on them.

What a privilege it was to see the names of so many of our donors in Padre Pio’s hospital!

After the visit, we knew we had to help once again. After all, building the hospital was Padre Pio’s life’s work and YOU can continue his legacy.

This Giving Tuesday we are asking you to help Padre Pio’s hospital once again.
The old beds are just metal frames with an IV pole and mattress.
The NEW beds will provide greater comfort to the patient and easier accessibility to other parts of the hospital. The beds come equipped with a "nurse assist" setting that helps get the patient up easier and safer. They allow for greater mobility and make the experience as safe as possible for the patient.
Here is how you can help.

There are gift naming opportunities for anyone who wants to purchase one full bed. We will make a plaque to put on “YOUR BED” and you can tell us what you would like on the plaque.
(ie In memory of Sam and Sue Smith, donated by the “Smith” family, etc.).

You are welcome to call us at 860-455-5555
if you have any questions about this project!
